Terms of service
Last updated: 26 September 2026
Agreement
By creating an account or using Buthum, you agree to these terms. If you're setting up an account on behalf of a school, you're confirming you have the authority to do so for that school.
The service
Buthum helps teachers — independent, or part of a school — share weekly practice plans, collect practice logs, and give lesson feedback to students and parents. Some features are paid (see the pricing section); using a paid plan means accepting the price and billing period shown at checkout.
Accounts
Keep your login details to yourself, and tell us if you think your account's been compromised. Teachers and school admins are responsible for the accuracy of the student and school information they add, and for having a parent or guardian's permission to add a child's profile.
Acceptable use
Don't use Buthum to store or share anything unlawful, don't try to access another school's or teacher's data, and don't attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service.
Your content
The practice plans, feedback and logs you create belong to you (or the school you belong to) — we don't claim ownership. We just need a licence to store it and display it back to the people you've shared it with, in order to run the product.
Plans and billing
The Free plan is limited to 3 students, no card needed. Paid plans (Studio, School) are billed through Stripe as shown at checkout — Studio at a flat monthly or annual rate, School per teacher on your team. Upgrading, downgrading or cancelling never deletes your existing data; manage your subscription any time from the billing section of your dashboard.
Termination
Either you or we can close an account at any time; we'll keep exported data available for a reasonable period on request before final deletion.
Disclaimer
Buthum is provided "as is". We work to keep it reliable, but during this early-access period we don't guarantee it will always be available or error-free — for now, keep an independent note of anything critical, like a child's practice schedule.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Buthum isn't liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service; nothing here limits liability where the law doesn't allow it (for example, in cases of gross negligence).
Changes
We can update these terms as the product evolves; continuing to use Buthum after an update means you accept the new terms.
